What we offer

Three ways to work with us

Every dog boards at a different pace. Pick the format that fits your schedule and your dog's needs — you can always move between them.

01

In-home foundations

One-on-one sessions at your house, working on leash manners, recall, jumping, and impulse control in the environment your dog actually lives in.

Priced per session — ask for current rates on your consult call.
02

Small outdoor groups

Weekly outdoor classes capped at six dogs, focused on distraction-proofing skills your dog already knows around other dogs and people.

Multi-week packages available — ask for current rates.
03

Puppy start

A structured intro for dogs under six months — house training, crate comfort, biting, and early socialization habits that hold up as they grow.

Priced per package — ask for current rates on your consult call.
How we work

A method built on three checkpoints

We don't sell a fixed number of sessions upfront. We assess, train, and re-check — so you're only paying for what your dog still needs.

Checkpoint one

Read the dog

The first session is a behavioral read: triggers, motivation, energy, and what's already working. This shapes everything after it.

Checkpoint two

Build the skill

Short, repeatable drills you can run daily in five minutes, layered week over week rather than crammed into one long session.

Checkpoint three

Proof it holds

We test the skill somewhere harder than your living room — a driveway, a park, a busy sidewalk — before calling it done.

From dog owners

Recent notes from the harbor log

A few words from clients about specific, individual results. Experiences vary by dog, and these reflect one household's outcome, not a guarantee.

Our rescue used to lunge at every dog on our street. Six weeks in, she can walk past most of them without a reaction.

Marisol T.
Owner of a mixed-breed rescue, age 3

The in-home sessions made the biggest difference — practicing in our actual hallway instead of a classroom fixed our door-bolting problem.

Devon K.
Owner of a Labrador, age 1

We started the puppy package at nine weeks. House training clicked in about ten days, faster than we expected.

Priya A.
Owner of a Cavalier King Charles puppy

Service area: Sacramento, Placer, Yolo, El Dorado, San Joaquin, and Sutter counties.

Response time: Most consult calls are returned same day.

Questions

Before you call

What ages or breeds do you work with?+
Any age from eight weeks onward, and any breed or mix. Puppy sessions focus on foundational habits; adult sessions usually target specific behaviors an owner has already noticed.
Do you use e-collars or prong collars?+
Tools are chosen case by case after the first session, based on the dog and the goal, and always explained to you before use. We'll walk you through options on your consult call.
How do I know how many sessions I'll need?+
It depends on the dog and the goal, which is why we don't quote a fixed package before meeting your dog. After the first session you'll get a specific, honest estimate.
What areas do you actually cover?+
In-home visits run throughout Sacramento, Placer, Yolo, El Dorado, San Joaquin, and Sutter counties. Group classes are held at fixed outdoor locations — ask which is closest to you.
Is the phone consult really free?+
Yes — a 15-minute phone call to understand your dog's situation before you commit to anything, with no obligation to book afterward.
